As part of the plans to sustain the positive impact of the Teacher Empowerment through Support and Technology (TEST) pilot project, OLE Ghana and Pellucid Technologies shot 20 videos to assist teachers with their teaching in the classroom. The videos are based on OLE Ghana’s Reading Steps to Glory programme. They were shot at Bethany Methodist Basic School, Dzorwulu in Accra.

Part of the TEST legacy, together with a Portal that contains over a thousand (1000) resources  teacher and learner resources, the videos are self-coaching in a sense that they can be used with little or no face to face coaching by OLE Ghana coaches or facilitator.

The Teacher Empowerment through Support and Technology (TEST) project is a VSO Ghana pilot intervention with support from Stavros Niarchos Foundation which formed part of VSO’s 8-year Tackling Education Needs Inclusively (TENI) programme to improve retention and performance of children in the northern regions of Ghana. It focused on improvement in teacher pedagogy skills, especially regarding quality of reading instruction and therefore placed emphasis on providing support to teachers in the form of face to face and online coaching as well as the supply of technology-assisted materials.
